EaSEP contributes to programming expenses of organizations which help East African scholars apply to North American universities. Primary expenses include transportation costs for tutors, SAT and TOEFL study guides, test registration fees for TOEFL ($190 per student), SAT ($98) and SAT Subject Tests ( $127), as well as additional score sends ($20 per school for TOEFL, $12 for SAT). Transportation for class activities and room and board for students account for other major expenses.
